| On June 24, 2010 visiting Gori University was the US Embassy Head of Human Resources Department, Mr. Richard Marsh. He delivered a lecture, titled: “How to write an effective resume and how to pass an interview”. The lecture was held in an interesting way and the students acquired some interesting advice. At the end, Mr. Richard Marsh answered the questions of all those who attended. |

On June 21, 2010 visiting Gori University were Rostom Chkheidze (Critic and Writer), Giorgi Gogolashvili (Professor), Ioseb Chumburidze (Journalist), Nino Vakhania (Professor), Salome Kapanadze (Professor), Zviad Kvaratskhelia (Writer and Publisher), Eka Bujiashvili (Journalist) and Babua Aludauri (a man of letters). The actress Tinatin Elbakidze presented to Gori students one actor theatre performance “Motherland, like Christ…” The performance is made of publicist letters of four writers – Rostom Chkheidze, Maka Jokhadze, Levan Bregadze and Guram Asatiani. The students and faculty-members watched the mono – performance with great interest. The University Rector, Professor Zaza Tsotniashvili thanked Tinatin Elbakidze for the urgent performance of the present day and Rostom Chkheidze, for the initiative of having the meeting. |

On June 22, 2010 visiting Gori University were David Silvera (International Mediator in Regulating the Conflicts) and Eitan Israel (President of the Adult Education University in Israel). The aim of their visit was to set up the relations with Gori University. They had a meeting with Gori University Rector, administration representatives and outlined the future plans. Then, Mr. Silvera delivered a lecture for the faculty-members, titled “Analysis of Regulating Conflicts”. At the end of the lecture, he answered the questions of all those who attended. |

On June 21, 2010 a meeting, connected with the Vocational Retraining Programs, was held at Gori University V Building. Attending the meeting were Gori University Rector, Professor Zaza Tsotniashvili, invited guests, teachers and instructors. Addressing the audience were: Inita Paulovica (Resident of the UN Development Program, Vice Representative), Zaza Tsotniashvili (Gori University Rector, Professor), Tea Siptashvili (Head of the Vocational Education Administration of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia), Zviad Khmaladze (Chairperson of Gori Municipality), Giorgi Avaliani (Vice Representative of President in Shida Kartli), Davit Bidzinashvili (Head of Gori University Administration), Davit Kakashvili (Instructor of Vocational Retraining Programs) and Iona Tomaradze (Instructor of Vocational Retraining Programs). At the end of the meeting, a hope was expressed, that Vocational Retraining Programs will continue their work in the future, and they will support the Shida Kartli Region population with jobs.

On June 10-13, Gori University Rector, Professor Zaza Tsotniashvili was invited on a business trip to Istanbul, Fatih University.
Representing the Georgian delegation were Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University Rector, Professor Giorgi Khubua, Sokhumi State University Rector, Professor Joni Apakidze, Telavi State University Rector, Professor Giorgi Gotsiridze and International Black Sea University Rector, Professor Ahmed Cetin. Also, there were representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Ms. Nino Tsereteli and Eka Rurua.
In the framework of the visit, a mutual collaboration memorandum was signed among the mentioned Georgian Universities and the Turkish one. The memorandum offers interesting prospects to the contract sides.
Getting acquainted with the Turkish Educational sphere was an important acquisition for the Georgian guests. The current processes in the Georgian Education System aroused great interest of the hosts.
Turkish President, Abdullah Gul attended the graduation party of Fatih University graduates, where the contracts were signed.
