A training on occupational health and fire safety matters

A training on occupational health and fire safety matters took place at the university for academic and administrative staff of GSU. The training was led by Zakaria Dotiashvili and Mariam Arkhoshashvili, occupational health and safety officers. They discussed various subjects concerning safe working environment, maintenance and legal matters and norms. Trainers reviewed important aspects of the field:

Legal norms for upholding occupational health and safety standards, existing workplace hazards and their control, ergonomics, working with workspace appliances, fall prevention, individual safekeeping tools and how to use them properly, electrical safety, instruments and maintenance, safety measures, fire safety and emergency plan. The training ended with discussion on challenges of occupational health safety and how to manage and overcome them.
