On November 11, 2022 GSU celebrated Poland National Day and hosted a visit of the Polish delegation. Mr. Piotr Pomianovski and Mr. Mariush Pietjak. Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili met guests and reviewed ongoing or planned projects and activities, concerning Polish-Georgian relations. Mr. Tamaz Shioshvili also attended the meeting and expressed gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the people of Shida Kartli. Guests met with students, academic personnel, descendants of Poles and alumni, who had studied at Polish universities. Georgian church representatives also attended the meeting and reviewed Grigol Peradze’s dedication and significance of his work in the Polish-Georgian relationship.

After the meeting, the delegation visited Jozef Pilsudski square, which was opened with Warsaw university and HE Andria’s support. They also gave books to the audience and planned to show a documentary on Polish prisoners at GSU.
