On April 9, 2014, the events of April 9, was held at Gori State Teaching University.

 Gori University Professor Otar Janelidze held a public lecture regarding the April 9 tragedy.

 After the lecture, Gori University administration, academic staff and students paid a tribute to the heroes fallen on April 9 and laid a wreath at their memorial.
