On February 26, 2021 GSTU hosted a meeting with Mrs. Tea Akhvlediani, Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality, within the frame of 100-year anniversary of occupation week “The fight through Generation against occupation” Mrs. Minister and Mr. Jaba Samushia met with students , living near the occupation line. Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili greeted guests and expressed his gratitude. Mrs. Minister informed the audience on the challenges of Russian occupation and Piece keeping policy of Georgian government. Message of the meeting was the inanity of barbed wire, temporary occupation and barriers. , Mr Mamuka Saghareishvili and Mr. Jaba Samushia also addressed  students and gave a brief account of the history. At the end of the meeting, guests and students visited the photo exhibition. Mrs. Tea Akhvlediani visited the occupation museum and donated photo materials to the university.
