a National Scientific Forum

On December 20-21, 2021 a National Scientific Forum will be convened for the first time in Georgia. The aim of the forum is to take up and summarize current scientific processes and pressing topics.. The forum will take place annually with strong support by the ministry of education and science.

The hybrid forum was opened on December 20th in sections. There were participants from various scientific fields, who explored Covid-19 through different scientific contexts. Speakers of the event were:

Mikheil Chkhenkeli- the Minister of Education and Science

Giorgi Amilakhvari- First Deputy chair of Education and Science Committee, Parliament of Georgia

Giorgi Kvesitadze- President of Georgian National Academy of Sciences

Tamar Gabunia- First Deputy Minister at Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories

Amiran Gamkrelidze- NCDC

20 December Panel topic- Epidemic in Georgia, past and present

The panel discussion was moderated by Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili, Rector of the Gori State Teaching University .
