On June 28-30 a work meeting was held within the framework of Erasmus+ project “ Role of universities in Regional Development). 10 Georgian universities  and universities from Spain, Austria, Check republic and Lithuania , ministry of education and science of Georgia and National Center for Education Quality Enhancement actively participate in the project. The aim of the project is to raise universities' involvement in regional development, to modernize the mission and strategic plan of the higher educational institutions, to strengthen ties with regional government entities and bare in mind regions’ specifications. Among GSTU representatives were Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili, Mr. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili, Mrs. Tsiuri Duruli and Mr. Zurab Zurabashvili. Parties foreseen various activity plans, outlined training patterns and specifics for university staff and discussed issues concerning regional university conferences.
