On February 25,2016 election of academic council took place at GSTU, 5 candidates were nominated according to faculties. 80% of the voters participated in the election . New academic council was formed as following : Mariam Sherazadishvili, Mariam Koberidze, Tea Khorguashvli, Neli Goginashvili , Otar Janelidze
