On October 31, 2018, at the Meeting of the Ecological Security Committee of the Georgian Academy of Sciences, Maia Azmaiparashvili, Associate Professor of Gori State Teaching University and a member of the Committee, presented a report on the "Environmental Problems in Shida Kartli Region." The speaker talked about the ecological situation in Georgia and Shida Kartli, protection of natural resources, waste management, air monitoring, environmental education, and important issues of sustainable development.
