On July 29, 2026 final ceremony of the competition “Educational resources – innovation and effectiveness in modern teaching” took place at GSU. The project is supported by the Gudavadze-Patarkatsishvili Fund and International Educational Center. The aim of the project was to create innovative, creative and practical teaching resources for VI-IX classes that ensure better learning outcomes and increases student engagement in the process.

Interested individuals who were able to apply were:

Teachers of public and private sector of Shida Kartli;

Academic and invited staff of GSU;

Fourth- and fifth-year students of Integrated Bachelor-Master Educational Program for Primary Level Teacher of General Education;

Persons enrolled in the teacher training educational program.

The competition took place in individual and team format (maximum of three members per team). The resources were created for following fields:

Mathematics, chemistry, biology, natural science, physics, information and communication technologies.

52 participants presented 34 educational resources.

Mr. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili, Mr. Zurab Kervalishvili, Mrs. Ketevan Kokrashvili, Mr. Zurab Zurabashvili, Mr. Levan Midodashvili, Mrs. Tsiuri Duruli, Mrs. Lela Aleksidze, Mr. Giorgi Berdzenishvili gave speeches and pointed out the significance of such innovations in the educational sphere.

After the jury deliberation, winners were announced at the ceremony:

“Dental care guide” – Maia Adamashvili, GSU student;

“Chemical Domino” – Tamar Beridze, Teacher of Public school N 10 , Beshueti and Kvemo Sobisi;

“Escape from ghost town” – Meri Terunashvili, Teacher of Gori Public School N 9;

“Combustion and Oxidation” – Svetlana Mghebrishvili, Chemistry teacher of Kvakhvreli public school, Dinari Sadaghashvili, Kvakhvreli Math Teacher;

“the journey of erythrocytes in the body” - Nana Tatunashvili, Ekaterine Khutsishvili, biology teachers of Gori public school N9;

“The restless heart of the Earth – Volcanoes and earthquakes – Elene Bitarishvili, GSU student.

Educational resources, jury favorite was : Laboratory for chemistry experiments – Nino Garsevanishvili and Jana Egadze, Shindisi public school teachers.

The event was led by Rati Shoshiashvili, GSU student. University jazz-band “Canudos” performed at the final celebratory event.
