GSU has achieved an excellent outcome at the University sports federation tournament. The University Sports Federation of Georgia organized Universiade 2026, supported by the Ministry of Sports. Within the framework of the event, GSU students showed the best results in Judo competition. They won three gold, two silver and 5 bronze medals and the team took first place .

Gold Medal Winners:

1. Tengo Khidasheli (73 kg.);
2. Jumber Meladze (81kg.);
3. Vladimer Akhalkatsi (90 kg).

Silver Medal Winners:

1. Gela Giunashvili (81 kg.);
2. Vaja Avazneli (90 kg.).

Bronze Medal Winners:

1. Muraz Bujghulashvili (60 kg.);
2. Aleko Kasradze (73 kg.);
3. Nodar Shermadini (90 kg.);
4. Lado Dularidze ( 0 kg.);
5. Tamaz Biganashvili (+100 kg.).
