On September 10, 2026 Mr. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili, Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili and Mr. Zurab Zurabashvili held a meeting with the Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to Georgia, Archbishop Ante Jozic. Parties discussed completed and ongoing projects on the research of the century-old relations of Georgia and Vatican, historical source study, popularization and safeguarding cultural heritage of Georgia. Particularly, they discussed Tamaz Bekaia Educational Fund and its crucial support in ongoing research projects. They also discussed future perspectives, opportunities to implement new joint initiatives and how to strengthen connections with the Holy See. Archbishop expressed his willingness to support the development of future university initiatives and collaborations.
