On March 23,2017, editing group of magazine “Gantiadi” and the editor-in-chief visited GSTU. The meeting was held at the office of Georgian Language and Literature. At the meeting, Avtandil Kurashvili talked about the magazine and its history. The first edition was published in the1880s . The magazine has since been in continuous publication for more than 128 years, making it the oldest monthly magazine devoted to Georgian literature and not only. It was founded by Kita Abashidze, Dutu Megreli, Shalva Nutsubidze, Akaki Shanidze, Giorgi Akhvlediani, Aleksandre Janelidze and Simon Mchedlidze,- all well-known public figures and scientists in Georgia.
Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili, Mr. Giorgi Khorbaladze, academic personal, students and invited guests attended the event.
