On November 19, 2018, Gori University hosted Ms. Esma Alla Turkmen, the author and the head of the International Literary Festivals Association of Trabzon, and representatives of Yunus Emre Turkish Culture Center, Georgia.

The meeting was opened by Professor Giorgi Sosiashvili, Gori University Rector. He spoke about the importance of Georgian-Turkish literary relations. Mrs. Alla Turkman briefly reviewed Turkish literature and talked about her literary compositions. She noted that her works are already translated into Georgian language and Georgian readers will be able to get acquainted with one more Turkish writer's literature in their native language in the nearest future.

The meeting was attended by Gori University students and professors.
