On October 25, 2019 a scientific conference, dedicated the 80th anniversary of Eldar Mamistvalishvili, took place at GSTU. Conference was opened by the rector of the university Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili, who congratulated Mr. Mamistvalishvili on his anniversary and reviewed his research and work.

28 theses were presented at the conference. A special addition of Gori University journal was issued, dedicated to the anniversary.
