On May 11,2017, a seminar, dedicated to 260 year anniversary of death of Vakhushti Batonishvili. Participants were students of the faculty of Education, Exact and Natural Sciences, Biology department and public school students and teachers. At the seminar, students presented their work on villages and borders , flora and fauna of the time when Vakhushti Batonishvili was alive. Tinatin Iosebidze, organizer of the event gave a lengthy speech about the importance of such events. Prof. Giorgi Sosiashvili greeted audience and talked about the life and work of Vakhushti Batonishvili. Other speeches were made by Giorgi Khorbaladze, Davit Chochishvili, Levan Midodashvili, Neli Champuridze, Dali Goginashvili, Tamar Beridze, Shorena Shavlokhashvili, Nino Buchukuri, Nino Gugutishvili, Nino Bazandarashvili, Lia Jilavdari, Irma Tabuashvili and Nino Kakhniashvili.
