The Peace Education Center has been opened at GSU. The official ceremony took place on September 17, 2026. The center is dedicated to peacebuilding, promoting dialogue and conflict research in the region. It’s an unique platform to unite students, researchers, public sector and international partners.

The goals of the Center are:

To promote of peace education;

To raise civic awareness and tolerance among youth;

To organize educational programs, trainings and scientific research;

To host international discussions and meetings;

Mr. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili, Mr. Givi Mikanadze, Mrs. Tea Akhvlediani, Mr. Giorgi Volski, Mr. Giorgi Dzadzamia, Mr. Zviad Gabisonia, Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili welcomed the guests and highlighted the significance of the center.

Mrs. Lia Gigauri, Mr. Lasha Margishvili, Mrs. Ketevan Kokrashvili, Mr. Zurab Kervalishvili, Mr. Simon Guledani, Mr. Konstantine Buzaladze, Mr. Marlen Nadiradze, Mr. Giorgi Shervashidze, Mrs. Shorena Akhalaia, GSU academic and administrative staff, students and Gori citizens attended the opening ceremony.
